This week the children have enjoyed a variety of weather and due to some thundering conditions we haven't spent as much time outside. We have been making the most of our indoor environment with painting, junk modelling, decorating biscuits, story time, song time and continuing to explore our role play home corner.
Decorating Biscuits:
Kerry organised a lovely biscuit decorating activity for the children this week. We used plain rich tea biscuits, icing and sprinkles. The children took it in turns to pour the icing sugar into an individual bowls, they then used children's jugs to pour water into the bowls. The children were encouraged to use spoons to mix the wet and dry textures to make icing. We then dripped the icing on top of the biscuits with the sprinkles.
Puddles and exploring in the garden:
We have had some heavy showers this week, leaving behind some lovely big puddles to jump in! The children have also shown a keen interest in jumping and climbing.
Painting with brushes turned into hand printing...:
Inside some of the children enjoying mark making with paint. The children extended there play by painting there hands and printing them on the paper.
