W/C: 5/12/16

December has arrived and with Christmas fast approaching, the children have all been busy with their Key Workers, talking about times of celebration and exploring a variety of festive mark-making activities.

Chloe and Charley invited their key children to look at photos of themselves and their family, while also talking about special events and celebrations within their home life.
Sonia and Jennie enjoyed creating festive cards with their key children, supporting them to create snowmen using their handprints.
Katie and Kerry invited their children to print Christmas bauble pictures using  potatoes and paint while,
Amy, Bella and Hayley offered a variety of festive activities for their children, which included decorating star biscuits.

Lunchtime...

Over the last couple of weeks, we have been inviting the children to help give out lunch to their friends. This is a great way to support their independence and social development and the children have really enjoyed the responsibility of leading a small task.

On Wednesday, children and staff enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch, complete with turkey, stuffing and 'pigs in blankets'.
The children enjoyed creating Christmas hats to wear at the lunch table, while also exploring crackers to pull with their friends.
