W/C 28.11.16

This week at nursery some of the children enjoyed a shape hunt in the garden. We had to make sure we wrapped up warm in our hats, coats and waterproofs as its been very chilly! An adult hid the shapes in various places in the garden and the children used tick sheets to match the shapes found. As a continuation of this activity next week we are going to explore shapes using the light box in the sensory room.

We have continued to explore different textures in the large tuff tray. This week we have looked at orange spaghetti, glitter, shell pasta and lentils. The children have used bowls, spoons and jugs to mix materials and transport.

The children have continued to demonstrate a strong interest in the soft play. Our friends have been practising there jumping, rolling and balancing skills.

On the carpet the children have been busy exploring puzzles and threading. They have been using trial and error skills to fit pieces into inset puzzles and match shapes. We have also been threading using the large wooden fruit.
