It has been a rainy start to June and we have thoroughly enjoyed the large puddles in the garden. We added bubbles and colouring to the puddles....splash, splash.
We have also had a car wash set up on the concrete area for our bikes. This was an idea taken from children's interests. Our friends used cloths with soapy water to give all our bikes a good scrub.
Inside we have had a play dough table set up again. This has continued to be a firm favourite with all children. Children have used dried materials such as lentils, rice, spaghetti and pasta along side the play dough. Our friends extended there play using the role play oven, pretending to make cakes. This is an easy and simple activity to do at home. All you need is some play dough and a variety of dried materials and your set, why not give it a go.
Next week we will be taking part in a healthy eating week, we have planned lots of activities based around food and being active. The British Nutrition Foundation organise a yearly healthy eating week last year was a great success so please watch out on our blog to see what we have been up to.
