A New Term
After the fun of our summer holiday club it's now time to welcome some new faces and begin our Autumn term. As well as lots of new children joining us we have welcomed our new cook Angie who is making delicious teas for the children. Angie has also been leading group times with the children, putting together fun, cooking activities for the children to help make pastry, tarts and other yummy treats that they are proud to share with their friends.
The children have extended this food interest during their play and have been very interested in cooking in our role play areas, both inside and outside on our 'camp fire'. Children of all ages enjoy recreating experiences through pretend play, using plates and cups, dollies and even ironing boards to imitate the first-hand experiences that they have at home with parents and carers.
Some children need just a cardboard box to recreate a boat, train or car journey or even to make a spaceship to fly to the moon!
