We've transformed our side room into a soft play area this week and it's proved to a very firm favourite...
All children have been very eager to explore the equipment and have demonstrated lot's of different ways to move their bodies. Some particularly enjoyed jumping off the soft blocks while others spent their time crawling through the tunnel and practising their 'roly poly' abilities.
We've also had an area set up for threading this week, where the children have been able to develop their fine motor skills using wooden fruit and laces. They've shown good focus and attention as they've held the lace firmly in one hand while using the other to thread their chosen piece of fruit onto it.
