W/C 31.10.16.....November has arrived!

If you haven't already please ensure you book in for parents evening with your child's key worker. This will be held on Tuesday the 29th November.

Its been another fun filled week, we have been busy exploring a variety of activities including fruit tasting, collaging on the art wall as well as mark making with cardboard tubes, and transporting balls using the guttering and water trays in the garden.

Fruit tasting activity:

This week the children have enjoyed taking part in a fruit tasting activity. This focused activity was a great way for children to try new flavours and textures. It also encouraged turn taking, working in small groups. The children were supported to use child friendly knifes to cut up the fruits. Adults worked closely with children using hand over hand whilst cutting the fruit.

Our friends pulled some funny faces whilst tasting the sweet and sour flavours. "This is juicy" said one child, "my lips feel funny" said another.

Our Art Wall:

The children have been very creative this week on the art wall. We started of the week using cardboard tubes, with fanned out ends, the children used these to print and create firework marks. Lots of the children enjoyed talking about fireworks they had seen at the weekend, "they went bang, bang, bang", "I saw fireworks at nannies".

Outdoor water play:

This week in the garden we have had the water trays and guttering set up. The children have been encouraged to transport balls from the water tray down the guttering.

As it starting to get a bit chilly please remember to pack hats and appropriate clothing for the cold temperatures along with lots of changes of clothes!

Thank you :)
