We have enjoyed a mixed bag of weather this week but this hasn't stopped us spending lots of time in the garden. The rain over the bank holiday weekend left some lovely big puddles for us to jump and splash in which was a lot of fun.
The children have also been busy baking yummy cheesy biscuits with Jennie this week. Our friends gathered in small groups and Jennie explained what we would be doing. Each friend took it in turns to mix the dry and wet ingredients together, creating a dough. The children then rolled the dough out and used cutters to make shapes.
In the garden the children have continued to enjoy transporting different items. We set up an area using guttering and cars. The children were supported to race cars down the guttering. This extended to the water pump.
We used lots of natural items found in the garden to create artwork with paint. This was a firm favourite with many of the children.
This afternoon Lynsay set out a great activity using dried rice, pasta and lentils. The children enjoyed transporting the dried materials into small pots and ice cube trays using scoops.
