Over the last couple of weeks, we've enjoyed caring for dolls within our role play area. Some children have particularly enjoyed this and have been observed representing their own first hand experiences from home during such play. They've enjoyed changing nappies, rocking dolls to sleep and even taking them to the shops. To continue to spark their imagination, we provided the baby bath with warm, soapy water where children were able to wash their dolls, brush their teeth and dry them with towels.

To further add to the children's role play experiences, we also provided play dough within our home corner. The children very quickly added their own ideas to play by creating birthday cakes with the dough and using straws as candles.

The children have also really enjoyed printing with paint this week, using a selection of 3D objects to create shapes and marks with.

The children have also enjoyed painting out in the garden this week, using cling film as their blank canvas to make marks on.
